G. HIGHER EDUCATION
  • The state should move in the direction of full public financing of public higher education to make college available to all citizens who desire it.
  • To make North Carolina's higher education system more equitable, the state should reduce the share of individual support provided via appropriations and increase the share provided directly to individuals on the basis of financial need.
  • State aid programs should follow a student to whatever campus and academic program the student selects.
