C. GUN CONTROL
We respect the rights of people to defend themselves, but there must be limits placed on gun ownership.


  • We urge a permanent extension of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 (US Code Title 18, Part 1, Chapter 44, Section 921), and we urge the United States Congress to appropriate money to enforce the current gun control laws.
  • We urge Congress to require registration, background checks and waiting periods for all gun and rifle purchases, including those at gun shows.
