F. TAXATION, SUBSIDIES
  • Subsidies, tax benefits, and research funding should be eliminated that goes to companies producing electricity from nuclear and other non-renewable sources.
  • A carbon tax should be levied on all fossil fuels. These taxes would be an incentive for efficiency and conservation and would be partly used to fund the development of renewable energy sources.
  • Government should subsidize the construction and rebuilding of relevant infrastructures, including public transportation, along more ecologically sustainable lines.
